Got back this morning from Johannesburg, South Africa...It was a terrific trip as we fully utilised our clear days there to roam the roads of Jnb. Of course first day we touched down, we didnt do much..only me and Mac went off to Sandton Shopping centre to get some drystores and do a bit of shopping...the stupid thing was i brought along only my i.d card as verification for changing S$ to Rand but unfortunately they only accept passports..so both of us had only 50rand each to spend..so u can imagine how thrifty i was that day....even buying a bottle a milk brought some repercussions...
Pilanesberg National Park
5 of us had an early start and rented a red Volkswagon and drove all the way to Pilanesberg National Park ...there we rode in circles hoping to catch a glimpse of the BIG 5 animals of Africa...so imagine 5 pple fidgettin in the hot car (it was
chilly but the heat from the sun was intense) straining our eyes hoping to be the first to call out to the rest our finds...i managed to spot an elephant ,wild boar and a giraffe running besides our car...we spent like 5 hrs there ; long but it was well spent...

After that we went off to Sun City for dinner....wanted to pay a visit to the palace but unfortunately it was closed due to VIP events..sheshh
Lion Park & Gold Reef City
Today there were 8 of us...we started our day with brunch first at Macdonalds..i alredy had sumting to munch earlier on but my css pointed out the
halal sign at the entrance and i was all excited..even tho' im already full, i ordered mcnuggets meal as well as blueberry milkshakes ...ohh...yum...wat a unique taste...how i wised mac decided to bring back their milkshakes...
our first destination was the lion park....before we drove in, we decided to take a peek at the caged area where i
posed with the giraffe
and feeling courageous...braved myself and entered the cub's den to give a firm pat on...

and then it was simply...

then we headed for a fun-filled afternoon at Johannesburg very own Gold Reef City, another amusement park...just some pixs to share...

stomach growling...
we went to have dinner at Ocean Basket ... if u didnt know, the famous fish n co actually orginated from this ocean basket...the food's the same but slightly more expensive and the menu is more extensive...
and lastly the famous seafood platter for two
wow...wat an enjoyable trip and i spent roughly abt S$250 and that includes food,transportation,entrance fees to the various attractions and miscellaneous...I cant wait for my next long team flt...hopefully we have something planned out..it seems time flies faster wen ure enjoying urself :)
