Hormatilah bulan Ramadhan , bulan yg mulia
Went to work today feeling full of pent up energy....but halfway especially during transit time, i lost my momentum and feel like just dropping to the floor ...it was such a short flt time and i can already feel the effects of fasting whilst working....gdness...teruklah i ni..lembik tols...and i tot mebbe im working out those inert energy to burn my fats when my LS said...
LS: Ina, u gained weight eh...
Ina: eh nolah where got..*looks down at tummy*
Ls: Last time i see mostly your bones, now can see flesh...
Ina: oh no...im gettin fat...arghh must lose weight..
Ls: eh u look better lah now...bones no gd...
Ina walks away feeling so demoralised...damn...need to lose weight...ahh thanx hunny for feeding me way too much...i must now practice self-control..*dad calls out and ask who wants chocolate milk*
Ina thinks to herself *me!*...mebbe i'll practise self-control another day..ehehe
Anyway we served breakfast on the way up..it was roughly ard 8.30am in the morning...
Ina stands next to a mid-30s malay gentleman..
Ina: Sir would you like to have something to eat?* thinking he'll say im fasting so i can quickly ask next pax*
MG: Yes, pls what do you have?
Ina: Errr..we are serving nasi uduk or omelette with chicken sausage
MG: I'll take the omelette...err isit halal?
Ina:*looks blankly at passenger and after like 10s* yes, enjoy your meal sir..
Ok...perhaps he has an excuse that he's a musafir and that he's excused from fasting but err flt time was only 80mins...Perhaps i have no right judging those who chose not to fast in this holy month but i sumtimes wished they could at least have the decency to respect this month...You can see as you sashay down orchard road, you can see them smoking or even taking a bite at macdonalds or kfc...and i remember once last time when i went geylang, i actually saw a group of malay elderly man drinking beer at the hawker centre during Ramadhan...is there no sense of shame anymore in this world?
All i can say is to each his own...you are what you eat...you are what you preach...
Or perhaps the race "Malay" has changed drastically to suit the modernised globalised world?
i wonder....
